You donât really know until your parents start getting to that age and on the âright dayâ you get enough courage to ask what their retirement plan is. When you realize they donât have one, ITâS YOU đŹ
My dad is an immigrant from Vietnam. His English was very broken and he started his own business to make a living in America. He worked HARD, I mean late nights and weekends HARD. Rushing cases to clients around town while having to pick up kids up from school HARD. Me and my brother were often the last kids picked up from school.
In spite of how hard he worked, it PAINS me that he never really made the time to plan for his retirement or learn to make his money work as hard as he does. While there is so much we can learn from this situation, it doesnât do well to dwell. Maybe itâs late for your parents and you just have to work through it BUT donât let this be YOU.
You CAN still change the trajectory of your wealth story for you and your (future) family. How nice would it be for your kids to not have to worry about your retirement or their student loans? WHAT A RELIEF. (I just gained back so much mental health đ€Ș). This is POSSIBLE đ€
